During the Gala Dinner at CRIC’s Annual Conference, The City of Calgary, Advanis, and Ipsos were announced as the winner of the Public Sector Impact Award. The award is presented in recognition of excellence in an insights or analytics project that results in a demonstrable public sector impact.
The City of Calgary, with the support of Advanis and Ipsos, conducted four complementary, integrated studies, each with a distinct policy lens. The combined results informed Council and Administration discussions on budget trade offs and investment priorities.
In addition to the 2025 Fall Survey conducted by Ipsos, the studies conducted by Advanis on behalf of The City of Calgary and recognized by the award were:
The 2025 National Municipal Benchmarking Research, which evaluated Calgarians’ perceptions and priorities compared to National Municipal Benchmarks for five other Canadian cities.
The 2025 Economic Perspectives Survey, which provides insights into Calgarians' perceptions of Calgary’s economy and infrastructure investment trade-offs to inform decision-making.
The 2025 Perspectives on Calgary Council Focus Areas Survey, which informed Council and Administration decisions on business, employment, tourism, downtown, Calgary Transit, diversity and inclusion, and Scotia Place.
